Harvey Lederman is a Professor of Philosophy at the University of Texas at Austin. Previously, he served as an Assistant Professor and later a Professor at Princeton University until 2022. His research spans contemporary philosophy, the history of philosophy (especially Chinese neo-Confucianism), decision theory, and the philosophy of language. He is co-Principal Investigator of the AI and Human Objectives Initiative and affiliated with the Population and Wellbeing Initiative and the School of Civic Leadership.
