About
Dr. Harry Hogan is Professor and Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Texas A&M University. His research investigates bone biomechanical responses to simulated spaceflight, exercise countermeasures, and osteoporosis risk factors using rodent models.
Current projects examine hormonal regulation of disuse-induced bone loss, inflammation-mediated skeletal degradation, and mechanosensitive osteocyte signaling. Research employs advanced imaging, mechanical testing, and molecular techniques to quantify bone quality changes under unloading conditions. Recent work explores irisin treatment for colitis-induced bone loss and estradiol mitigation of unloading effects.
