Harriet Higgins

Harriet Higgins is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Psychology at London South Bank University (LSBU) and a registered Clinical Psychologist with extensive NHS experience. She earned a BSc (Hons) in Social Psychology from the London School of Economics and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of East London.

• 15 years as a senior Psychologist in NHS community, adult, and child settings.
• Led an award-winning psychology team (Anna Leaf National Prize, 2018).
• Research focuses on perinatal lived experiences and maternity staff work environments.

Her clinical work includes independent practice in psychology and therapy, offering interventions for individuals, couples, and infants, alongside reflective practice groups for midwives in London NHS trusts. She contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through expertise in clinical education and therapeutic services.
