Harinder Khalsa

Harinder Khalsa is a Senior Instructor II in Italian and the Yamada Language Center (YLC) at the University of Oregon. Affiliated with the College of Arts and Sciences and the School of Global Studies and Languages, she coordinates the Self Study Language Program.

• Education: MA in Linguistics (1998), MA in Italian (1996), BA in Italian (1991)

Her research focuses on Italian and Turkish language and culture, second language acquisition, and pedagogical methodologies for teaching less commonly taught languages. She also emphasizes teacher training within language education frameworks.
