Harald Stöger

Dr. Harald Stöger serves as a Senior Lecturer at the Institute for Political Science and Social Policy at Johannes Kepler University Linz, where he has been employed since July 2011. His academic career builds upon extensive research experience, having worked as a project staff member at the same institute since June 2005 on numerous research projects related to housing policy, social inclusion, and European governance structures.

Dr. Stöger's research interests center on housing policy (particularly in the Austrian context), social inclusion/exclusion in comparative perspective, and elderly poverty in the European Union. His scholarly work examines the institutional frameworks, policy processes, and substantive content of housing systems, with particular attention to the transformation from socially-oriented housing models toward market-driven approaches. He has made significant contributions to understanding European Works Councils, comparative pension systems, and the relationship between housing policy and social exclusion.
