Harald Stenmark is a Professor at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Oslo, and heads the Department of Molecular Cell Biology at the Institute for Cancer Research, Oslo University Hospital. He is also Director of the Centre for Cancer Cell Reprogramming and previously held leadership roles including acting director of the Institute for Cancer Research and head of its Biochemistry Department. His research focuses on molecular mechanisms of cellular membrane dynamics in cancer progression.
