Hao Shi

Dr. Hao Shi is an Associate Professor at Victoria University's College of Arts, Business, Law, Education, and IT, where she has taught since 1992. She holds a PhD in Computer Engineering (University of Wollongong), a BE in Electronics (Shanghai Jiao Tong University), and a Graduate Certificate in Tertiary Education (Victoria University).

Her research emphasizes industry-applicable innovations in:

• Wireless/mobile communication systems
• AI-driven image processing
• Location-based service design
• Smart living technologies

She received notable recognition for teaching excellence, including:

• Carrick Citation from the Australian Government (2007)
• Vice Chancellor’s Citations (2006, 2007)

She mentors 2 PhD students and has supervised 30+ completions.
