Hanum Atikasari is a Researcher and PhD Candidate at the Institute of Cultural Anthropology and Development Sociology, part of the Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences at Leiden University. Her current research is funded by the ERC (European Research Council) through the project 'Globalizing Palliative Care? A Multi-sited Ethnographic Study of Practices, Policies and Discourses of Care at the End of Life.'
Her research focuses on interdisciplinary topics including ethnography, gender studies, healthcare systems, and palliative care, employing mixed methods approaches. She is supervised by Prof. Bart Barendregt (Vice-Dean of Research) and Dr. Annemarie Samuels (Associate Professor).
