Hans Van Der Heijden

Hans Van Der Heijden is a part-time Professor of Accounting at the University of Sussex Business School, with a Ph.D. in Business Management from Erasmus University Rotterdam. He has held academic roles at Royal Holloway University of London and the University of Surrey, and previously worked as a consultant at PwC. His research focuses on AI and data analytics in accounting, including applications in education, healthcare, and environmental accounting. He currently serves on the board of the British Accounting & Finance Association's AISET Special Interest Group.

Education: Drs (B.Sc./M.Sc.) from Tilburg University (1987–1991) and a Ph.D. in Business Management from Erasmus University (1991–1995).
