Hans Sebastian Heese

Hans Sebastian Heese is the Owens Distinguished Professor of Supply Chain Management and Department Head at the Poole College of Management, North Carolina State University. He holds a joint position in Operations and Supply Chain Management, focusing on improving operational efficiency and resolving conflicts in decentralized systems. Prior to NC State, he served as Dean at EBS Business School in Germany, where he also directed the Institute for Supply Chain Management. His academic career includes faculty roles at Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business.

His research explores supply chain efficiency, conflict resolution in decentralized systems, and strategic decision-making under uncertainty. Notable areas include automotive supply chains, healthcare operations, and sustainable practices.
