Hans Hacker

Dr. Hans Hacker is an Associate Professor of Political Science at Arkansas State University's Beck College of Sciences & Mathematics, Department of Government, Law & Policy. He teaches constitutional law, civil rights jurisprudence, criminal law, judicial process, and specialized courses like 'Religion, Speech, and the First Amendment'. His educational background includes a Ph.D. and M.A. from Ohio State University, and a B.A. from the University of North Texas.

His research examines law and society, public administration theory, and constitutional law, with current focus on innovative teaching methods for undergraduate public law curricula. Publications explore judicial behavior, religious litigation, and constitutional axioms, with work featured in the New York Times and CNN.

He served as Co-director of the Phelps & Womack Pre-Law Center (2007-2019) and coached the award-winning A-State Moot Court Team, enhancing experiential learning in legal education.
