Professor Hans Albert Riesen holds the position of Professor in Physical Chemistry/Chemical Physics at UNSW Canberra, specializing in laser spectroscopy and optical data storage. He served as Associate Dean (Research) at UNSW Canberra from May 2012 to May 2020. His research focuses on applications of laser spectroscopy, including spectral hole-burning in transition metal ion-doped materials and novel X-ray storage technologies.
