Hannah Sam

Dr. Hannah Sam is a Senior Lecturer in Sustainability Risk Management at the Claude Littner Business School, University of West London. Her work bridges economics, sustainability, finance, and management, with a focus on applied policy research related to poverty, inequality, and welfare impacts of crises. She co-founded the Applied Research in Risk Management and Data Analytics (ARMaDA) group.

• Research Themes: Development economics, conflict impact analysis, pandemic policy responses, and sustainable risk management.
• Teaching: Leads MSc programs in Sustainability Business, Finance and Risk Management, and International Business Management, as well as BSc Business Economics.
• Publications: Recent work examines welfare impacts of the Sierra Leone conflict (2022) and the Comoros' response to the COVID-19 pandemic (2023), emphasizing economic inequality and policy interventions.

Dr. Sam holds a PhD in Business and an MSc in International Business Management with Sustainability. Her practical expertise includes data analytics and mentorship in economics and finance careers.
