Hannah Fair

Dr. Hannah Fair is a Lecturer in Dementia at the Wicking Dementia Research Education Centre, University of Tasmania. Her research focuses on equity in health promotion, particularly dementia prevention, evaluating online education programs such as the ISLAND project and MOOCs. She employs mixed methods (quantitative and qualitative) to study social network impacts on health behaviors and dementia risk reduction. Dr. Fair teaches public health approaches to dementia and collaborates on initiatives like the Preventing Dementia MOOC. She holds a grant from Dementia Australia Research Foundation for investigating personality and social contagion effects on dementia risk behaviors. Recent work includes analyzing loneliness, social isolation, and rural-urban health disparities in dementia prevention. She has led service engagements like the Festival of Bright Ideas and coordinates the 'Methods for Dementia Research' unit.
