Dr. Hannah Bennett is an Associate Professor and Program Director in Augusta University's Department of Kinesiology. She holds a Ph.D. in Health and Physical Education from Middle Tennessee State University (2015), an M.S. in Kinesiology from Georgia Southern University (2012), and a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Connecticut (2010). Recognized for excellence, she received Augusta University's Teaching Award and Most Outstanding Faculty Award in 2021.
Bennett's research examines gender dynamics in fitness cultures, CrossFit communities, and mentorship in academia. Her publications analyze social media engagement among women athletes, negotiation of femininity in strength sports, and undergraduate research mentorship frameworks.
