Hannah Abrahamson is an Assistant Professor of Latin American History at the College of the Holy Cross, specializing in gender, labor, and Indigenous agency in colonial Mexico.
Her book project examines domestic labor dynamics within the encomienda system in Yucatan. Current research analyzes multiethnic households and sexual violence in colonial contexts.
Abrahamson has received fellowships from the Omohundro Institute and Max Planck Institute. She teaches courses on Indigenous Latin America and gender history.
