Hannah A Dickinson

Hannah A Dickinson is an Associate Professor of Writing and Rhetoric at Hobart and William Smith Colleges, where she also serves as Chair of the Writing Colleagues Program. She joined the faculty in 2011 and is actively involved in shaping writing instruction and support across the institution.

Her research and professional interests focus on writing and rhetoric, composition pedagogy, writing program administration, and writing center theory. She is dedicated to advancing effective writing practices and instructor development through her leadership role.

As Chair of the Writing Colleagues Program, she oversees initiatives that support writing instruction and faculty collaboration in writing across disciplines. Her work contributes significantly to the academic mission of fostering strong communication skills among students.

Hannah Dickinson has been an integral part of the Department of Writing and Rhetoric since 2011, demonstrating a sustained commitment to teaching, program leadership, and academic service.
