Prof. Hande Demirel is a Professor at the Department of Geomatics Engineering, Istanbul Technical University. She holds a PhD in Geoinformatics from Technical University of Berlin (2002). Her academic career includes roles as Associate Professor (2008–2019) and Assistant Professor (2004–2008) at ITU, alongside research at the European Commission Joint Research Center (2011–2014).
