Hana Kang is a Teaching Professor at the University of Notre Dame with a joint appointment in the Department of East Asian Languages and Cultures and the Center for the Study of Languages and Cultures. She teaches Korean language and linguistic courses, and holds a Ph.D. in East Asian Languages and Literatures from The Ohio State University.

- Foreign language acquisition
- Computer-assisted language learning
- Language learner identity
She received an FRSP Grant for research on Chinese and Korean language learners' cognitive processing in writing using eye movement tracking analysis.
