Han Kun Ren

Currently a DPhil (PhD) researcher at the University of Oxford in the Department of Engineering Science, Han Kun Ren focuses on energy storage design in hybrid renewable systems.

• Alumni of University of Toronto (BASc in Civil Engineering) and University of Oxford (MSc in Energy Systems)

His research involves optimizing battery storage capacity, placement, and operation to improve renewable energy utilization. He has experience in programming, optimization, and hybrid renewable design from prior industrial and research roles.

Recent publications include analytical frameworks for energy storage sizing in microgrids and solar-wind hybrid systems. His work aligns with the renewable energy transition and smart grid technologies fields.
