Prof. Han Dolman is a Visiting Professor at the Faculty of Science, Earth and Climate department of Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. He serves as Chair of the UN Global Climate Observing System (GCOS) Steering Committee and is a member of the Gravity (Zwaartekracht) Project Netherlands Earth System Science Centre. His work focuses on climate change impacts, greenhouse gas emissions, and ecosystem dynamics in Arctic and boreal regions. Dolman has supervised 34 PhD theses and contributed to major international datasets like FLUXNET-CH4 and FLUXNET2015.
Research Interests: Methane and CO2 flux dynamics, permafrost ecosystems, extreme climate events, and global climate observing systems. His work integrates field measurements with modeling to understand climate feedback mechanisms.
