Hamoon Khelghat Doost is an Assistant Professor at Uskudar University’s Department of Political Science. He holds a PhD in Political Science from the National University of Singapore (2018). His research focuses on international security, terrorism studies, and forced migration. He has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and authored/co-authored multiple book chapters and edited volumes. Dr. Doost currently coordinates the Erasmus program at his university and teaches courses on terrorism, state crimes, and Middle Eastern politics.
Education: BSc (2007) in English Literature from Science University of Malaysia, MSc (2011) in Communication Studies from the same institution, and PhD (2018) in Political Science from NUS.
Research Interests include analyzing women’s roles in jihadist organizations, Iran-Turkey security dynamics, and policy responses to refugee crises. His recent work explores AI applications in governance and propaganda strategies in conflict zones.
