Hamid Montazeri

Dr. Hamid Montazeri is an Assistant Professor in the Department of the Built Environment at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e), Netherlands. He has been with TU/e since 2020. Prior to this, he completed his MSc in Mechanical Engineering in 2006 and earned his PhD in Building Physics and Wind Engineering from TU/e in 2015. He held postdoctoral fellowships from the Research Foundation Flanders (FWO) at KU Leuven, Belgium, in 2015 and 2018.

Research Interests:

Dr. Montazeri's research focuses on applying aerodynamics and fluid dynamics to urban and building environments. His work includes developing multi-scale models using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and machine learning to advance renewable energy solutions, such as building-integrated photovoltaics and urban wind energy systems. He is also dedicated to enhancing sustainable urban development through net-zero energy building designs and mitigating climate change impacts on urban microclimates.

Recent publications highlight advancements in CFD modeling for spray evaporation, urban wind energy optimization, and climate change impacts on urban environments. His work emphasizes integrating renewable energy systems with building designs and leveraging computational tools for sustainable solutions.
