Hamdan Awan

Dr. Hamdan Awan serves as an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science at Munster Technological University (MTU), Cork, Ireland, a position held since January 2022, and is an Associate Investigator at the CONNECT Centre. Previously, he held postdoctoral roles at South East Technological University (SETU), Waterford, and York University, Canada.

Advising and Service: Mentored 6 PhD and Master's students across institutions. Active in academic service as reviewer for IEEE/ACM venues, TPC co-chair for MolCom Workshop 2022, and current symposium chair for the Molecular, Biological, and Multi-Scale Communication Track at IEEE ICC 2024. Contributed to FET Open Projects Gladiator and Prime exploring molecular communication in health science, affiliated with the Dependable Networks research group.
