Haluk Erol

Haluk Erol is a Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Istanbul Technical University. His research focuses on noise control, vibration analysis, acoustic performance, and structural optimization. He has led numerous projects related to engine development, structural vibration analysis, and acoustic design of automotive and industrial systems. Erol has supervised 34 theses and authored over 50 publications, with a strong emphasis on practical applications in mechanical systems.

His recent projects include optimizing diesel particulate filters, improving rail vehicle suspension safety, and designing door sealing systems for acoustic performance. Collaborations span international teams addressing vibration and noise challenges in automotive, aerospace, and industrial contexts.
