Haluk Cetin

Dr. Haluk Cetin is a Professor in the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences at Murray State University (MSU), serving as Director of the Hyperspectral Laboratory and KentuckyView (a member of AmericaView). He holds leadership roles in academic and professional organizations, including Coordinator of the AmericaView Water Quality Group and Project Manager for the International Charter on Space and Major Disasters. His teaching includes courses in Remote Sensing, GIS, Digital Image Processing, and Climate Change.

Education: Ph.D. from Purdue University.

Research Interests: Focuses on remote sensing applications in environmental monitoring, big data analytics, and disaster management. Directs initiatives like the Hyperspectral Laboratory and KentuckyView, advancing geospatial technologies. Engages in workshops such as the 'Remote Sensing and GIS Train-the-Trainer' program and advises student chapters of professional societies.
