Halla Martin

Halla Martin is a Professor of Economics of Health and Digitization at WU Vienna University of Economics and Business. She holds additional roles as a Permanent Scientific Consultant at the Austrian National Public Health Institute (GÖG), an Associate at the Austrian Institute of Economic Research (WIFO), and a Research Fellow at the Institute for the Study of Labor (IZA) in Bonn. Her research interests focus on applied microeconometrics in family, labor, and health economics, with additional work on political economy and tax evasion. She utilizes historical data from the Austro-Hungarian Empire in her studies.

Her notable affiliations include membership in the scientific advisory board of the Austrian Socio-Economic Panel (ASEP) and three Standing Field Committees of the Verein für Socialpolitik.
