Halim Yanikomeroglu is a Full Professor and Chancellor's Professor at Carleton University's Department of Systems and Computer Engineering, part of the Faculty of Engineering and Design. His research focuses on wireless communications, including 5G/6G networks, non-terrestrial systems (HAPS/LEO satellites), MIMO, and cognitive radio. He has supervised numerous graduate students and holds IEEE Fellow status and the Harold Sobol Award. His work integrates machine learning, federated learning, and sustainability into next-generation networks.
