Halid ÜVEYSİ

Assoc. Prof. Halid ÜVEYSİ is an internationally recognized scholar in Islamic Jerusalem Studies at Ankara Sosyal Bilimler Üniversitesi's Department of Islamic History. He holds concurrent roles as Director of Islamicjerusalem Research Academy (Turkey) and Editor of Islamicjerusalem Research Journal. His academic journey includes doctoral studies at Aberdeen University (2006) and a master's from Abertay University (2003).

• Awarded by British Islamic Research Academy for pioneering work on sacred geography

Research focuses on Quranic geography, prophetic biography, and sacred topography analysis. Teaches master's level courses on:

• Jerusalem in Quran/Hadith perspectives
• Early Muslim period historical geography

Formerly managed Islamicjerusalem Research Center (2007-2011) and supervised numerous PhD/Master's students across UK and Turkey. Active member of prestigious academic societies including BRISMES and AMSS.
