Dr. Halah Alateeq is an Assistant Professor in the Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology (MS-SLP) program at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences, Austin campus. She obtained her PhD in Speech and Hearing Science from Arizona State University and a Master of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Texas A&M University-Kingsville, building upon her Bachelor of Science from King Saud University.
Her research investigates cognitive processes underlying bilingual language control and how neurological damage affects these mechanisms. Clinical specialties include adult neurogenic communication disorders, traumatic brain injury rehabilitation, concussion management, and dysphagia.
As a licensed bilingual (Arabic/English) speech-language pathologist holding ASHA's CCC-SLP certification, Dr. Alateeq has provided assessment and treatment across medical and rehabilitation settings for patients with aphasia, cognitive-communication disorders, and swallowing difficulties.
