Hal Culbertson

Hal Culbertson is a Teaching Professor at the Keough School of Global Affairs at the University of Notre Dame. His expertise lies in international nongovernmental organization management, with a focus on project design, evaluation, and the management of peace initiatives. He contributes to research and outreach in humanitarian practice.

• Teaches courses in Organizational Leadership & Management, Program Design, Management and Evaluation, and Ethical Issues in Humanitarian Practice.
• Former Associate Dean for Operations at the Keough School (2014–2023).
• Executive Director of the Kroc Institute for International Peace Studies (2007–2014).
• JD and MA in Philosophy from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign; MA in International Peace Studies from Notre Dame.
