Hajer Said

Hajer Said is a Research Fellow at the Institute of Inorganic Chemistry, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Kiel University. She focuses on advancing quantum dot (QD) technologies for renewable energy applications.

• Education: Ph.D. in Chemistry (2020) from the Faculty of Sciences in Tunis (FST) and the National Centre for Research in Materials Science.

Research Interests: Hajer specializes in in-situ luminescence analysis and synchrotron-based methods to develop safer, more stable perovskite quantum dots (QDs). Her work addresses critical challenges like toxicity and instability in halide perovskites, aiming to optimize their use in solar cells and LEDs through real-time monitoring of crystallization processes.

Scientific Contributions: As part of the KiTE program, she contributes to scalable and sustainable QD manufacturing by designing flow reactors and employing advanced analytical techniques. Her research bridges fundamental materials science with practical sustainability solutions.
