Haiwei Lu

Haiwei Lu is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biology at the University of Nebraska at Kearney. He holds a PhD from Oregon State University where he researched genetic engineering approaches for biomass production and developmental regulation in poplar species.

Lu's research focuses on plant biotechnology applications including CRISPR-based genome editing, genetic modification of growth traits, and functional genomics in tree species.
