Hailemariam Temesgen

Hailemariam Temesgen is Giustina Professor of Forest Management at Oregon State University, directing the Center for Intensive Planted-forest Silviculture. His research integrates remote sensing and field data for precision forestry.

Research focuses on:

• Airborne LiDAR for forest inventory
• Statistical modeling of tree attributes
• Carbon sequestration quantification
• Geospatial analysis of forest resources

Teaches courses in Forest Mensuration, Biometrics, and Sustainable Forest Management while leading the Forest Measurements Lab.
