Haibo Chen

Professor Haibo Chen is a faculty member at the University of Leeds, holding the position of Professor of Intelligent Transport Systems within the Institute for Transport Studies (ITS) under the Faculty of Environment. He also serves as an Honorary Professor at Beijing Jiaotong University's School of Traffic and Transportation and Southeast University's School of Transportation. His work focuses on leveraging intelligent transport systems to address complex urban mobility challenges.

He leads the Spatial Modelling and Dynamics group and the Connected and Shared Mobility theme at ITS. His professional engagements include advisory roles in international projects like ZEV-UP, nPETS, and MODALES, with significant funding from EU/H2020, Highways England, and EPSRC/DfT.
