HAMDULLAH ÇUVALCI

Professor HAMDULLAH ÇUVALCI is a distinguished academic at Karadeniz Technical University, where he serves as a Professor in the Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering within the Faculty of Engineering. With a career spanning several decades at the same institution, he has held various academic and administrative positions, demonstrating his commitment to both teaching and research excellence.

Professor Çuvalcı earned his educational qualifications entirely from Karadeniz Technical University: his undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering (1982-1986), postgraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering (1986-1989), and doctorate in Machinery (1989-1996). His academic journey at KTU progressed from Research Assistant (1988-1996) to Assistant Professor (2004-2012), Associate Professor (2012-2017), and finally to Professor (2017-present).

Professor Çuvalcı's research primarily focuses on metallurgical and materials engineering, with particular expertise in material science and engineering, material characterization, and various engineering technologies. His work spans multiple areas including composite materials, powder metallurgy, tribology, and the development of advanced materials for specific applications. He has made significant contributions to the understanding of metal matrix composites, polymer composites, and high-entropy alloys.

His recent publication record demonstrates a strong focus on composite materials, particularly novolac matrix composites reinforced with various additives like graphite, boron carbide, and carbon nanotubes. He has also conducted extensive research on aluminum and zinc-based alloys, armor steel welding, and high-entropy alloys. Professor Çuvalcı has supervised numerous graduate students, with documented master's and doctoral theses on topics related to composite materials, tribology, and material characterization.
