H.T. Claude Chan

H.T. Claude Chan is a Senior Research Fellow at the University of Southampton, specializing in cancer immunotherapy and recombinant antibody production. His work focuses on developing therapeutic antibodies and CAR-T cells for cancer treatment, alongside structural studies of antibodies in collaboration with the Chemistry Department.

• Education: BSc in Biochemistry (University of Southampton, 1984-1987), PhD funded by Croucher Foundation.

Research Interests: Cancer immunotherapy, recombinant antibodies, and structural analysis of antibody-cancer treatment interactions.

Publication Trends: His recent work (2017-2025) explores Fcγ receptor dynamics, CD27/CD40 agonism, immune complex diagnostics, and structure-guided antibody engineering. Key subtopics include isotype effects on tumor targeting, myeloid cell modulators, and TNFR agonist design.
