H. Irene Su

H. Irene Su, MD, MSCE, is a Professor in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences at UC San Diego School of Medicine. She specializes in reproductive endocrinology and oncofertility, directing the Reproductive Survivorship program to support fertility options for cancer patients. Dr. Su is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.

• Education: Medical Degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Fellowship/Residency at University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine, MSCE in Clinical Epidemiology
• Research: Focuses on reproductive epidemiology, ovarian aging, and fertility preservation with over 80 peer-reviewed publications. Supported by NIH, American Cancer Society, and California Breast Cancer Research Program grants.
• Clinical Expertise: Infertility treatment, IVF, PCOS management, transgender care, and fertility preservation for cancer patients.

She leads training programs for medical students, residents, and fellows, and collaborates with Reproductive Partners Fertility Center - San Diego. Her work bridges oncology and reproductive health to improve care for gender-diverse patients and cancer survivors.
