Dr. H. Branch Coslett is Professor of Neurology at the University of Pennsylvania and Attending Physician at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. As Co-Director of the Laboratory for Cognition and Neural Stimulation, he investigates cognitive neuroscience using patient studies, functional imaging, and transcranial magnetic stimulation.
His research examines spatial cognition, motor control, temporal processing, and language disorders resulting from neurological conditions. Current projects investigate semantic memory organization and reading processes in brain-injured patients. He supervises graduate students and postdoctoral researchers in cognitive neuroscience.
Clinical work focuses on cognitive rehabilitation for patients with acquired neurological disorders. He teaches neuroscience principles to medical students and neurology residents while maintaining an active research program bridging cognitive theory and clinical neurology.
