Gülfer Meriç

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gülfer Meriç is an academic at Özyeğin University Faculty of Law, specializing in Maritime Law and Insurance Law. She completed her secondary and high school education at Robert College before earning her LL.B. (2008) from Koç University Law Faculty with a full scholarship.

• LL.M. in Private Law, Istanbul University Institute of Social Sciences (2010)
• Ph.D. in Private Law, Istanbul University Institute of Social Sciences (2015), dissertation: "The Shipowner’s Liability and Limitation of Liability for Oil Pollution"

Her research focuses on maritime trade and insurance law, bridging theoretical and practical dimensions. She previously served as a research assistant at Koç University Law Faculty (2008-2015) and has been a faculty member at Özyeğin University since 2015.
