About
Gwenaelle Geleoc is a Research Professor at Harvard Medical School's F.M. Kirby Neurobiology Center. Her research investigates molecular mechanisms of hearing, focusing on hair cell function, genetic deafness, and developing gene therapies for auditory restoration.
Her laboratory studies transmembrane channel-like (Tmc) proteins essential for sound perception and develops adeno-associated viral vectors to treat Usher syndrome. Current projects examine differential expression of Tmc1/Tmc2 in auditory and vestibular systems.
