Guy Paré is a Full Professor in the Department of Information Technology at HEC Montréal, where he also holds the Digital Health Research Chair (renewed until 2030) and serves as Associate Director of the Health Cluster. With a distinguished career spanning decades, Professor Paré has established himself as a leading expert in health informatics and digital transformation in healthcare.
Professor Paré earned his M. Sc. in Management from HEC Montréal and his Ph.D. in Administration from Florida International University. His academic journey has led him to become one of Canada's most influential researchers in digital health, with numerous publications in top-tier journals spanning information systems, medical informatics, and healthcare management.
Professor Paré's research focuses on the intersection of information technology and healthcare, with particular emphasis on digital health solutions, implementation of information systems in clinical settings, and the impacts of technological change on healthcare organizations. His work spans from theoretical contributions to practical applications that improve healthcare delivery. He has pioneered research in telemedicine, teleconsultation, digital twins in healthcare, and AI applications in medical practice.
