Gusti is a Professor in the specialized course in Illustration for Young Adult and Children’s Literature at EINA School of Design and Art in Barcelona, where he has taught for over 10 years. He studied advertising design at Fernando Fader Art School and has lived in Europe since 1985, working as an illustrator and educator across multiple countries.

His research and professional work focuses on illustration for children and youth, inclusive art practices, and community engagement. He has collaborated with publishing houses such as Hachette, Nathan, and Grimm Press, and his books have been published in over 20 countries.
Gusti cofounded the non-profit WINDOWN LA VENTANA, which uses art to promote inclusivity, and leads inclusive workshops for people with disabilities. He also serves as artistic director of Casa de Carlota, a design studio integrating mentally disabled individuals and trainee design students.
