Gustavo Moretto

Gustavo Moretto is a Professor in the Department of Music at Columbia University, with a long-standing affiliation as the head of the instrumental program at La Guardia Community College since 1996. He holds a Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) in Composition from Columbia University and a Bachelors Degree from The New England Conservatory.

Dr. Moretto's research and creative work focus on composition, particularly within contemporary music and chamber music contexts. His compositions have been performed by renowned ensembles such as the Washington Square Contemporary Music Society, Earplay Music Ensemble, Dinosaur Annex Music Ensemble, and international groups from Buenos Aires.
