Gustav Lidén

Gustav Lidén is an Associate Professor in Political Science at Mid Sweden University, affiliated with the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences. He earned his Ph.D. in Political Science in 2011 from the same institution and served as a postdoctoral fellow there during 2012-2013. He has held visiting scholar positions at Åbo Akademi University (2012), Universitat Pompeu Fabra (2021/2022), and University of Potsdam (2024). Lidén serves as director of studies for third-cycle education at the Faculty of Humanities.

His research focuses on comparative examinations of governance and policy output in local political arenas, with specific emphasis on:

• Mixed methods approaches
