Gustav Feichtinger is a Full Professor of Operations Research at Technische Universität Wien (since 1972, emeritus since 2008), and Head of the Division for Population Economics at the Vienna Institute for Demography of the Austrian Academy of Sciences (since 2002). He holds a PhD in Mathematics (1963) and Habilitation in Statistics (1970) from the University of Vienna and University of Bonn, respectively.
