Gunilla Carlsson is a Professor of Nursing Science at the University of Borås, affiliated with the Faculty of Caring Science, Work Life and Social Welfare. Her research focuses on existential healthcare issues, particularly in psychiatric care and nursing contexts, emphasizing qualitative method development. She has held roles such as Director of Studies for the doctoral program 'Humans in Healthcare' and previously served as Head of the Section for Health Sciences (2014–2020).
