Guillermo Grenier

Dr Guillermo Grenier is Professor of Sociology in the Department of Global and Sociocultural Studies at Florida International University's Steven J. Green School of International & Public Affairs. His research examines the intersection of immigration, ethnicity and labor markets, with particular focus on Cuban-American communities and Latin American diaspora formations.

His influential scholarship analyzes power dynamics in immigrant communities, ideological formations in exile populations, and the socioeconomic impacts of ethnic enclaves. Dr Grenier directs the FIU Cuba Poll, a longitudinal survey tracking political attitudes in the Cuban-American community. His publications include 'This Land is Our Land' on interethnic relations in Miami and 'Legacy of Exile' on Cuban migration.
