Guido Alfani is a Full Professor of Economic History at the Department of Social and Political Sciences, Bocconi University, Milan. His research focuses on long-term economic inequality, social mobility, and historical demography, particularly in pre-industrial Europe. He is affiliated with multiple research institutions including the Stone Center on Socio-Economic Inequality (New York), CEPR (London), and CAGE (Warwick).
