Prof. Dr. Gudrun Gersmann holds the Chair of Early Modern History at the University of Cologne, focusing on Western Europe from 1650–1800. She leads research projects at the Chair of Early Modern History and collaborates with the Historical Institute and the Research Center for the History of Cologne.
Her research integrates digital humanities and citizen science, exemplified by projects like "Wallraf digital" (2016–2018) and "Creating flexible digital access to knowledge" (2019–2022).
